This small thangka, rendered on an A4-sized canvas, depicts Mañjuśrī, the bodhisattva of wisdom.
With a youthful, slightly rounded face, he is adorned in garments and ornaments highlighted in pure gold. The halo behind him is shaded with a soft white gradient, with fine golden lines—symbolizing rays of enlightened energy—emanating from his body.
To keep his figure distinct from the surroundings, cool tones such as green and blue are used for the scarf and head halo, while the lower garments are painted in warm hues—red and orange—that harmonize with his body.
