The central deity, Guru Rinpoche, is softly shaded with a reddish lac pigment to evoke smooth, gentle skin. His robes are adorned with intricate patterns, elaborately rendered using pure gold pigment. Amitabha Buddha — the principal deity of the Lotus family — is depicted above the central figure.

Set slightly smaller in scale relative to the canvas, the figure allows for a spacious composition on the canvas prepared with a touch of yellow ochre, enhancing the brilliance of the colors applied — especially the lighter tones.

– The central figure of Guru Rinpoche is based on a line drawing by a Tibetan thangka artist –
